At a Glance

The Faculty of Education was established within Akdeniz University by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 98.11.89, published in the Official Gazette No. 23379 on June 17, 1998. In the 1999-2000 academic year, the Department of Elementary Education Classroom Teaching undergraduate program admitted 32 students and began its education and training activities. Our faculty graduated its first students at the end of the 2002-2003 academic year. Since its establishment, the Faculty has organized many panels, trips, seminars, and workshops, and has participated in many congresses, symposiums, conferences, and seminars. Faculty members have published national and international publications, and many cooperation agreements have been signed with domestic and international educational institutions. As of October 2022, our faculty has 15 Professors, 27 Associate Professors, 37 Assistant Professors, 5 Lecturers, 2 Specialists, and 29 Research Assistants, totaling 136 academic staff and 21 Administrative Staff. The Faculty's current service building includes meeting rooms, laboratories, and numerous offices and classrooms. Our Faculty has a total of 26,000 m2 of closed area.
